I love buying crap on Craigslist. I really love turning that crap into something useful; something that people with tastes for things not drab would be proud to add to their homes. Transforming the furniture relaxes me, it gives me a creative outlet, and when the pieces are complete, I feel like I produced something (a feeling I do not get in my chosen career path). In the end, a leopard cannot change his spots, and even though I get so many intangible benefits from this hobby, I do like achieving high margins. Here are some before and after photos.
